I am increasingly aware that, although I was created for a purpose, I am merely a vessel. Priceless treasure in that I was purchased by the blood of the perfect Son of God, unworthy because there is absolutely nothing I am able to do to earn or repay this debt ~ I am an unworthy treasure.
Knowing this was done for me, I long to know the One who did it. Searching Scripture and digging for those morsels, searching for the treasure of just a little more insight each day, I have the privilege getting to know the Creator of the world I live in, spend time in the presence of my loving Savior and learn to walk in the power of the Spirit He sent to live in me while I’m still on this earth. It is my heart’s desire for others to truly know this God, who He really is, what He’s really done and what it actually means to follow Him. It is what this vessel is for ~
and in these things ~ making Him known
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:36-40
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
By sharing insights I’ve gained, things that I’ve learned and the realities of this walk as experienced by me ~ I hope that even just one person would be encouraged, enlightened or inspired to press on in their walk as well!
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14
This season of my life right now ~ I’m married to a man who will never let life be boring ~ we have four amazing, grown children and a son in law we dearly love, and beautiful, incredible, heart-stealing grandchildren! Loving this season of seeing my family grow ~ in Christ and in number!
